There's no magic bullet for fuel consumption. No bolt on devices or fuel/oil additives will improve your fuel consumption. At best they do nothing, worst case they can do damage.

If you're that concerned about fuel consumption, get the Adventure. But if you don't drive a lot or don't plan to keep the car for a long time, the Revo would probably be better because it's cheaper.

If you do get the Revo, first thing to remember is that it's NOT a car. First gear is there to get you moving. I know lots of people with Revos drive theirs like their cars and the engine revs like crazy, that's not how the Revo's engine is tuned.

this is true.. usually pag humps or corners, akyatan, naka segunda ka pa rin.

For the record, our Revo gets more than 10km/L on the highway. 1.8 Gas Manual. Our best was 11.9km/L, highway, fully loaded. We normally get 8, mixed traffic/highway.

Take your time, Ron. Are you buying from a used car dealer? Are they the ones pressuring you to choose asap?

I recall several threads discussing concerns on the gas consumption of the 1.8 Revo.

we bought the revo na and yep 310k lang siya. ganda pa nga e panalo kasi hinding hindi laspag pati interior sobrang linis. mejo may mga gasgas lang sa side mirror, sa likod, saka sa gilid pero all barely noticeable. Taga-Urdaneta Vilage naman may-ari e and foreigner. OR's from the first owner down the invoice of the car from Toyota.

I wish and I pray na wala sana maging problema...
