    Hey guys,

This is my first post here so be nice hehehe... I am in a current dilemma right now, as I'm torn between the revo and adventure..

    Revo:
-2001 model (SR yata, black and silver)
    -gas, M/T
-all power, tow hitch (not sure if that's right), spare tire hasn't been used
    -77000 km mileage
-problem is change oil and maluwag lang fan belt
    --PhP310,000

    Adventure
-2002 model, white (as in mukhang pang-taxi)
    -diesel, M/T
    -power steering lang
    -108,000 km mileage
-problem is papalitan ang bearing sa belt and may dimple sa likod at gilid plus change oil
    --PhP360,000

Please help help help! I'll be buying either tom kasi rush na and till tomorrow lang daw ung price since mababa na daw.

    Thank you,
    Ron

Take your time... buyer's market naman, eh. For a quick guide, buy one or two issues of buy and sell and peg the normal fair price for these two cars. (it'll be on the low end of the average price range there... most asking prices are about 50k too high)

I wouldn't go for the Revo, as you're paying as much as you'd pay for a secondhand car for a truck that'll still drink gas. Don't get me wrong, the Revo rides better than some other AUVs, but the gas consumption kind of kills off one of the reasons to get an AUV in the first place.

The Adventure sounds kind of expensive for a vehicle with over 100k on the clock.

Look around, there might be better deals for your money out there.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

we decided na ung revo nlng e since makinis pa.

Tama ba un? should we still go for the revo? I have 2 hours to decide waaaaaaa

hindi effective ang mga fuel saver gadgets, baka masira pa ang auto...

OK na rin yan basta kaya mo yung gas mileage niya, if I"m not mistaken, 6-8km/l ang consumption niya...

oh ok good thing you told me cuz we're planning to buy the fuel saver pa naman kaagad in case matuloy ung sa revo. Pero 6-8km/L? wow malakas pala parang expedition. Ano pde gawin dun para maging matipid sa gas? How bout additives?

There's only so much you can do about gas consumption. Better tires, tuning, good sparkplugs, thinner oil (10w40 or 5w40), adjusted timing... but it'll still consume a lot more fuel than a diesel AUV.

Fuel savers are a big no-no.

Ganyan talaga yung mga 2.0 na AUV/SUV/CUV... the CR-V drinks badly, too.

As long as there's nothing wrong with it, mechanically, it's okay if you can afford the gas. Medyo mas maganda naman ang ride niya kaysa sa Crosswind. Pero be sure to clear up the papers of the car before saying yes. Mahirap yun kung may problema.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
