August 15th, 2019 10:36 AM #55Recently just got married last July 27. The wife and I are already trying for a baby and I wanted to get a vehicle for when she gets pregnant. Going to and from the hospital for check-ups will not be a hassle since we have our own car.
I agree, the Fortuner does look "better" but the Innova is not bad looking either. I like the bigger room the Innova provides since the wife and I are planning around 2 kids.
PS: Nakikigamit lang po kasi kami ng Revo ng lolo ko since nasa abroad sya, iniwanan nya sasakyan nya samin. Been driving that car since 2014 LMAO.

August 15th, 2019 10:47 AM #57it would seem, at the moment, you really do not need a third car at your fingertips.
but with a baby in the near future... might i recommend... a van.
nannies, be they relatives or total strangers, kitchen sinks, change of clothes, and strollers... aren't small items.
i got rid of my van, when the kids didn't need nannies anymore.
i then bought an innova.Last edited by dr. d; August 15th, 2019 at 10:54 AM.

August 15th, 2019 10:57 AM #58I've been driving my grandfather's Revo all my life and by now I would say I have a certain bias for SUVs. However my mind is not closed on sedans. The thing is would it not be better to get the Innova since the space would be more accommodating for groceries, strollers and other baby essentials, the occasional trips to the mall with the family?

August 15th, 2019 11:05 AM #59The innova or the Fort is a good choice as it's family oriented -- for when you have baby or babies, you'd certainly appreciate the big cargo space for those strollers, and everything but the kitchen sink that the missus will insist to bring when you have a family activity like going to the mall.
And if you will bring "yayas", it can sit everyone more or less comfortably. The innova with it's 2.8 diesel engine (if you're looking at the diesel, that is), is no slouch either. It actually has more zip than the Fort's 2.4. Good luck.

August 15th, 2019 11:07 AM #60We only currently have one car which is the Revo my grandfather owns. He will be arriving in the Philippines by October so bye bye car. That is why the wife and I are looking into getting a car.
I never really looked into getting a van, however for my use case, either the Fortuner or Innova would suffice I think. So for me it really just boils down to these two.
if all we are interested in are fuel versus electricity expenses, someone must already have made...
electric powered cars
