For me hindi sila minus point.

Madaling makaliko and madaling isingit.

I may be wrong, I think the APV is heavier than the Avanza. So mas stable ito dahil sa bigat nya.

I own an APV M/T before, then sold it to buy an Avanza 1.3. Both cars have their pluses and minuses. I'm more satisfied with my Avanza in terms of dual aircon blower, fuel consumption and driving with ease. APV is more spacious and better interior. Avanza w/ a 1.3L engine seems more powerful than the 1.6L of APV, maybe because of the body weight. But both are bumpy.

Pag medyo malalaki kayong pamilya (mabigat, matatangkad at more than 5), the APV would be better than the Avanza. I think fuel consumption will drive some people off from choosing an APV (hell, I almost looked away); but in the end, I chose comfort for my family kaya APV pinili ko.

I was able to seat 8 adult people comfortably sa Avanza J ko. 2 sa harap, 3 sa middle and 3 sa 3rd row seat. No problem for the engine, pero ramdam mo na loaded ka. Di naman sumayad ang suspension.

Kami naman, we tested out a friend's Avanza on a long road trip. It wasn't comfortable kasi medyo masikip for us, pero manageable. If you have kids, alam mo na madami kayong gamit (lalo na pag may baby) ranging from clothes, toys (bisikleta ba naman ipapadala) and even your own bags. Nothing beats filling that showroom model with those gonna use it and getting info from them pagdating sa space.

Isa pang dyahe naman sa APV yung medyo uncomfortable na flooring ng driver's side coz the wheel well mostly eats up the space where the foot pedals are located. Wearing a "bulky" shoe is not adviseable.

seen both units. mas maluwag leg room ng APV sa 2nd and 3rd row, sa 1st row ang problema is the wheel well proturding sa foot area on both side, since malaki ako istorbo sa paa ko, just what Tsuperman said. My right knee hits the shift knob even when i'm not shifting. advantage of the avp is its ground clearance mas mataas but prone to body roll.

the avanza is more car like to me but still very far from a sedan ride, ok ang 1st and 2nd row seat. the 3rd row... just forget about it.

over-all i'll get an avanza... why? dahil lang sa the engine is monted in front at 4 lang kami sasakay. but if i needed a bigger car with a small engine...apv na

Check out the Avanza Thread. Marami kang makukuha na information from owners and soon to be owners.

If you have questions, please feel free to ask.

    BTW, welcome to the forum.

When the APV first came out. I said that this will be a practical car for my family, untill the Avanza came along. Each vehicle has it's pros and cons. A major pro for me for the Avanza was the fuel economy and power of the engine. DOHC VVTi. I have read the reviews (the Avanza thread twice) before we got the Avanza.

About 98-99% of the time, there are 2 or 3 people riding , but 1 to 2 % of the time, I am with my family and Yayas. A passenger car was too small for this 1 to 2% of the time.

Longest distance travelled in one go (with the whole family and yaya, 6 adults and 2 toddlers) is Laguna to Tarlac City with side trips (the next day) from Tarlac City to Angeles City. I left Laguna with a full tank, I came back with an almost empty tank (fuel low warning light is still off).

My daily commute of about 90 Km mixed city and hiway, I now get more than 13Km per liter (before it was 12+).

sir tsuper man, it's been awhile since you posted what i quoted above, so i believe nag-stabilize na ang fuel consumption ng apv mo. how is it? and how is the car, too? tia

the advantages of the apv are exclusivity(not being used as taxis), relatively large interior space, and slightly better interior trims. advantages of the avanza are TOYOTA reliability, safety( the avanza rides behind the front wheels making it possible to have ample crumple zones to prevent loss of limbs and life, new VVTi engine (same displacement as the vios but not the same engine, the 1.5 liter outperforms the suzukis aging 1.6 liter engine), high resale value. YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH A TOYOTA!!! AVANZA IS MY CHOICE

    Suzuki is my choice.

More passenger room and luggage space. Power is adequate but not enough which is ok by my standards. Nothing beats more room even if you have only two kids and a yaya to tote around.

Sa Avanza passenger quantity lang pero quality wala kasi masikip and no luggage space whatsoever inside when all seats are up. Although as others have said the power to weight ratio is thumbs up.

i think being a taxi shows how relaible a car is. I think Avanza being a taxi makes it an advantage.

We already owned two suzukis and they are very relaible and tough. Its just maybe the traditional thinking is that TOYOTA and Honda are the only reliable brand in the world. At least thats how many of us people think.

All you need is an open mind and thoruogh research. you will know how suzuki are very reasonably price car compared to the two brands

Toyota and honda dealership service are the Worst! Maganda lang tingnan pero walang substance. Compared to suzuki by the way.
