    Isuzu MUX - timing chain
    Toyota Fortuner - timing chain
    Montero Sport - timing chain
    Trailblazer - timing belt
    Nissan Terra - probably timing chain coz the Navarra is timing chain
    Everest - probably timing belt coz the Ranger is timing belt

    so hayun, this can help decide if you're in market for PPV.

    timing belt- needs to replace every 60TKM
    timing chain - needs to replace every 150TKm

    made in japan timing chain durable
    made in USA timing belt

    i find the quoted change intervals, "too short".
    my howner's manual for the innova says timing belt replacement is every 150K km.
    who quoted your intervals, carpy?

    The fort and inno's kd engines are still timing belt. The newer GD engines are chain type

    Depende sa Usage..

    Extreme under usage... not necessarily, still gagastos pa rin sa maintenance lalo kung stuck-up lang sa grahe ang sasakyan..

    kung regular usage, sundin ang regular PMS ng 10K PMS (mas safe kung regular 5K PMS)

    pag severe to extreme usage..

    monitor the engine regularly...

    pero kung "abusive" usage.. PMS yan lagi..

    lalo kung excessive idling, highspeed driving, full-load ang driving condition..


    Both timing belt/chain...

    60k kms is too early for timing belt change.
    My D4D manual states that 150k kms palitan nh T Belt. But had mine replaced at 120k kms since sulit naman sa byahe.
    Wala pa cracks ang belt at 120k kms

    Don't tell that to Chevy. Apparently they want to replace the belts and pulleys every 3 years haha

    bad trip american cars. they want to replace those circular motors kagad kase dun sila mahina. ang nagpa turn off sakin sa TBZ eh madali daw bumigay ang alternator. another electro circular motor.

    always go Japan when it comes to workhorses.
