    My top picks:

    1. All-new Explorer
    2. Mazda CX-9 ( if budget can be stretched )
    3. Kia Sorento
    4. Hyundai Santa Fe
    5. Dodge Nitro ( lol. too much bad reviews regarding ride comfort because of the 20's, but i really like the design )

    .......

    100. Fortuner
    101. Montero

    Kidding. Hehe.

Worse, both of them are even at the price range of >PhP1.70 M just a tad lesser than the much-modern and way better Santa Fe R-eVGT....

I understand kung old-fashioned ang gagamit. Parents, though not all, share the same characteristics. They want everything simple. Pero for us, who understands every bit of our car's ICE. Having that kind of technology is a plus to us, somehow. Kasi nga for one, the output that can be expected is nice.

i'm about to vote for the ford explorer but the "light off-road" factor came somewhere along the thread... pajero bk na ako because of climate change. sounds irrelevant? what if all of a sudden, the usual "light off-road" where you usually pass-through gets a little unpredictable due to the fickle weather we are having right now? better to get a ride that could extend a little bit on the off-road aspect.

I see people buying "light off-road" vehicles essentially for it, since their intention is not to get a trail rig or such thing. Facing some terrain a little more irregular or some bad weather better than an average bantam is what counts for them...
