For me, kung Daily Driven - Subaru Forester.
Reasons - Because Subaru interior is nice to live with. It may also have better consumption in the city than the V6 Outlander. It has a sporty look, some stops with your kid to school and go to office. Sporty yet family minded Daily Car? Pero maintenance is still expensive not unless if you are coming from a European manufacturer.
Weekend Drive/Special Occasions(Dates) - Mitsubishi Outlander
Reasons - Fuel Efficient V6 is athletic. Elegant looking beast. Its a performer, stable as well. Its roomy, makes a good drive with your wife with the hot premium sound machine. Makes it a good lounge as well. You and your wife can go fishing at weekends with the handy tailgate of the outlander. Pero doesnt look like your a family minded person like the forester. Can also Track Car?
I will buy the two if we have the money.
- If we already have a daily car - Outlander
- If we still dont have a daily car - Forester 2.0

Hope this would make this forum more informative and less emotional. I still root for the Forester because of the good handling, Mercedes-like ride as described in the March 2007 issue of C-Magazine, where they picked the Forester as its top 5-passenger compact SUV. Never fails me in a stop-light drag, especially on 2nd gear...
As I've said in my earlier post, wala pa rin laban ang new CR-V sa mga ito.
Noisy and high-vibrating 2.4 liter variant (using the old-school K24A engine), no standard 4WD/AWD on lower variants and the "slushbox" doesn't have manual mode (yet the Forester and New Outlander have these as standard equipment )
Worst part is that the bucktooth grill is damn fugly.
The CR-V is gonna be a boring vehicle for me (like it predecessor models)
overall, i'd probably still pick the Forester XT over the Outlander, but the Outlander's 6-Speed Sportronic transmission with paddle shifters and 650 watts Rockford Fosgate sound system sure are ***y.
If only they had the Mitsubishi Airtrek Turbo (outlander) here in the US i would have bought that over the Fozzie. Still i like 'em both newer and older versions
