Maraming salamat sa lahat ng feedbacks. Planning to get the 1.5 Honda Jazz na but still open with the Yaris, considering the long waiting time for the Jazz now, most likely by the end of Sept or early October pa daw if we make the reservation this weekend...

Kung Jazz na talaga gusto mo pa reserve ka na. Its worth the wait kung gusto mo talaga sya. Di ka naman nag-iisa sa waiting list eh. Almost all na nagdecide to get the Jazz last May(including me) also have to wait for more than 2months. Pwede mo naman bawiin yung reservation fee mo if ever na magbago pa isip mo.

Oo nga aman. The wait will make it more frutiful in the end.

This. No need to hurry if eto na talaga gusto mo rather than regretting it later dahil di ka makapagantay.

Grabe pala waiting time for Jazz. Sa Accent ganun rin. Gusto ko sana Accent 1.4MT/AT kaso maraming negative feedbacks. Baka mauwi din ako sa City or Vios pag nagkataon. One of them will be my first sub-compact car and I hope that I make the right decision. Of course, with your help.

By the way, di ko pa pala alam budget ko.

Yah, maraming bugs pa ung Accent. I think they will fix them on the next batches since they're new n just getting the feedback.

As for between the City or the Vios.

City - ***ier, higher resale value
Vios - cheaper, easier to maintain n cheap parts

Depends on which you priority dude. Test drive and what you feel you like the most. Go for it. Bear in mind, Vios is bound for a new model change next year or 2013. There are already news of Toyota Launching the new Yaris (hatch) in european n japanese markets. The sedan version (vios in phils.) is bound to be launched soon.

Mahirap yan bro kung di mo alam yung budget mo. If I were to choose between Vios or City (given both 1.5 variants), I'd pick the city anytime of the day.

i have been driving compact cars all my life. if your budget permits, upgrade to compact car. you'll have the versatility of more speed but still good FC.

go japanese, they are more reliable but because of the factory defects, you can also look at korean but over all stick with the japanese.

there is nothing much to say about them but they are reliable. as long as you have good aircon, radio, youre good to go.

go honda civic first, then close 2nd is altis and faaar 3rd is lancer.

the new vvti engine is matipid sa gas even mas matipid than 99 civic but with more speed.

2 adults and 2 kids pax ko and the boot.. oh well, puno, enough lang not to obstruct my rear window.

Reliability counts a lot! No problem what so ever.. roads lang problema some parts of southern tagalog.

My wife has the 1.5 Jazz 09. It is simply the best choice. The Jazz is also one of Car & Drivers Magazine Top 10 best cars of 2011. Can't go wrong with the Jazz.

htc8p recommended upgrading to a sedan like the Civic, I have an 06 2.0. Although it is faster, it has a lot less functional cargo space. To me it is less practical and less fun to drive overall. Big blind spot as well.

Subcompacts nowadays are so big inside that if your old compact was made before 2004, then you won't mind "downsizing".

Simply, cars like the Jazz and Accent have much more space than old-school compacts... not as much as the bigger "compacts" now like the Lancer and Cruze, but compacts nowadays are so big and sophisticated that maintenance and parts costs are similar to mid-sized cars of old.

The Jazz 1.5 5AT, despite the fact that it's not as economical as the old Jazz 1.5 CVT, is still a perfect car. Perfect amount of space. Perfect cargo capacity (better than most "compact" sedans... have you seen the trunk on the Cruze and Lancer? Tiny compared to the Honda City!) and perfect size.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

So true... my 99 Corolla has less space (interior & trunk) than the current model Honda City.

Correct! I agree with fuel consumption though. My wife gets around 8-8.5 kms/l city driving with her Jazz. But then there are literally dozens of speed bumps along her route. Too low if you ask me. She has a heavy foot as well. LOL

8.5 is about what you can expect. Heck... that's not bad... on such short trips, even our Focus gets 8s.

    Whereas my Lynx gets 5s...

The low ride height is my biggest gripe with the Jazz. You can't even fit a CD underneath it!

I agree with the ride height. Should be really careful on speed bumps when carrying a full load.

The Jazz 1.3s and 1.5v AT has the same fuel consumption in pure city?
