A friend of mine asks me what car to buy with a 700k-750k budget. He needs a car that:

-can carry 4-5 persons including driver comfortably.
-powerful and fast enough to haul 3-4 pax on provincial/highway roads and expressways and could easily overtake if needed.
    -fuel efficient
    -cheap pms costs
    -cheap to maintain after warranty
    -durability
-ease of owning it. hindi masakit sa ulo at di ka pababalik balikin sa casa for warranty claims

Di ko na sinama accent crdi because masyadong bare yung manual. abs+ebd malaking factor especially laging may out of town trips with family. 4 sila sa family actually at yung price *808k wala pang abs+ebd over na sa budget. Sinama ko lang yun G4 and hatch kasi feature packed naman at their price pero mukhang masikip sila sa hatch. What are your inputs guys? Please help! Kung may gusto idagdag na option pwede. Thanks!

Any feedbacks from the FoFi 1.5 trend mt?

May isang 2013 accent hatch manual tranny pa na available sa Hyundai QA. The one with abs +ebd. 768k less 40k pa, so pasok sa budget.

    If not, take the city

+1 on this, may mga dealers pa may stock ng 2013 na Hyundai accent hatch. Hyundai Sucat for example.

Sige sir I'll let him know.

Real world scenario. Sa mga nababasa ko e parang madali magpalit ng mga pang ilalim sa accent.

i have my G4, but i recommend either city or vios.

among your choices kasi mirage ang pinakamaliit ang makina though power over weight ratio naman ang pambawi nila... im not telling mahina ang g4/hb.. kung package, fuel efficiency and durability.. ok ang mga mirage variants.

but based on the usage condition mas ok kunin yung dalawang suggestion above.

Basing on their needs sa car, I would vote for the City. Big space inside for all, 1.5L with MT would give good power for overtaking. And based on history, City seems like a reliable car. My next pick would be the Vios. I would put the Accent last due to the low rent interior.

If steel wheels with cover lang problem nila, this can easily be swapped out for Alloy Wheels. I'm sure in a few months they can get original City rims at a good price from owners who upgraded.

Might even be worth stumping up the extra money for the CVT. The 1.5E CVT gets 15" alloys already, and that great transmission. The CVT does just 2000 rpm at 100 km/h on the highway, and under 1,500 rpm at 80 km/h... which means 22+ km/l at 80 km/h. Among automatic competitors, you'd have to go up to an Accent CRDi or down to a Mirage 1.2 CVT to match that.

And thanks to the locking torque converter, manual mode actually feels like a traditional automatic instead of the artificial feeling "manual" mode in the old City. The way the converter locks at cruising speed on the highway is VERY reassuring.
