I think I'll go with the DMax on this one for outright function and savings.
We used to own a Fuego (its older version) and it had good fuel economy and carriage capacity. We used to bring it over to our farm in the province through dust, mud and rain to haul out and distribute rice as well as other farm produce to the rest of the family here in the city.
With improvement claims made to power and chassis, we decided to rent out a close friend's DMax, go to Manauag and got back to Manila filled with farm produce and "pasalubong". The results were similarly good, albeit the DMax has more space and is much more comfy compared to its older relative.
Also, I've seen a Hilux and Strada being used to haul out sacks of rice and it was really disturbing to see the tail end stoop so low and the front tilt up (as if it was about to topple over on its back). However, for form, there's no question that it's merely a coin toss to choose between the two, as both are elegantly designed and brings out that elite look people look for in a ride.

Ang haba pa rin ng pila ng New Ranger..and it also worries me na dahil medio bago pa rin ito, so we still need some more time to see what could be the inevitable issues it will have in the future.
But what really my heart wanted was a 4x4 Strada, and after quite some time eh napasa akin din sya sa wakas
Ang tagal ko ring sumubaybay sa mga threads ng Strada, and with its pros and cons, I have made up my mind, STRADA it is.
