    Both are '98 model.

    Starex A/T - 315k

    HiAce M/T - 325k

Mostly tarlac - tuguegarao byahe.

No doubt, to Hi-Ace...am talking about durability and toughness (hey am talking about local version) and the bigger/longer body makes room for extra cargos.

i'm leaning more on starex dahil sa looks, pero nagda-dalawang isip ako dahil matic sya baka mahirapan sa akyatan.

more of my friends are leaning more on hi-ace dahil sa durability.

i have 2 hi-ace 94 model. walang tatalo sa tibay. problema lang ng hiace kalawang sa wheel well sa harap under the seat. kelangan alagaan sa washing at rust proofing.

i've seen numerous post of a starex "Gas" instead of diesel, does it consume more than usual diesel van? and it came from subic, converted?

i'm seeing only some starex with "hood scoop", what's the difference with those without scoop?

Oh it was the old models, then yes I concur go for the Hi-ace. However kung yung bagong Hi-ace or yung Grand Starex I would go for the Grand Starex. The new Hi-ace looks like a refrigerator with wheels

for looks nga, Starex vote ko. when it comes to a/t sa akyatan, I don't think you will have problems with a/t on uphill. the only problem is it will be surely be less powerfull than m/t and possibly a bit more fuel consumption than m/t.

without hood scoop could possibly mean without intercooler turbo. but you should check inside the hood to confirm.

Hiace ka na. Mahina sa akyatan ang Starex. Big body, non-Turbo. Kahit Turbo yung makuha mong '98, it won't be the TDIC.

And yeah, it's risky to get a 2nd hand AT.

For me Hiace na pipiliin ko. Reliable.

Starex or HiAce
