Mainly the aesthetics. The EX Saloon (specifically the '95 to '96 model) had the Euro look trim while the Exsior had extended bumpers and amber rear signal lamps. Mechanically they were the same (ABS, airbags, 2.0L engine).
the Corona 2.0 EX Saloon was first launched in 1992. the engine- the only engine, the 3S-FE is an improvement over the 3S-F Corona GL by adding the EFI. it was very, very smooth and i enjoyed it when my friend allowed me to joy ride and drive as well. the EUROPEAN CONCEPT- when the ducktail spoiler first saw light was simply aesthetic- but i loved it more when the Exsior upgrade came- the bumpers are reminiscent of the old Coronas of delta motors without losing its modern touch... it soldiered on until it was phased out in 1999 to make was for a common global mid-size model - the Camry.
