Planning to get a second hand medium sized SUV for daily home to office and 2-4 times a month out of town trips. I will probably get one by November.

    Considerations:
    1. Diesel A/T
    2. Budget is 1M
    3. Reliable and Fuel efficient
    4. At least 190mm ground clearance
    5. Easy to find parts
    6. Can fit at least 5 people although I will be alone driving 80% of the time.
    7. No Innova/Expander types[emoji3]

    Thanks

Pretty much all of the currently available PPVs will fit your budget. Though I suppose in terms of reliability and parts availability, the Fortuner and Montero would be the best prospects.

You can buy a new base model MUX AT for 1.3M assuming you are entertaining a new car instead.

In that case, that brings it down to the Montero and MUX, of which 2016 models may fit your budget. The Montero has the better tech, while the MUX has more space. The Trailblazer and Everest may also fit the budget, but parts availability may not be as widespread as the Japanese.

with the demand nowadays and less than 3yrs old, its at least 1.3M for 6sp Fortuners and 8spd Monteros.

You don't really need a 7-seater PPV for your use cases. I understand there's a bias for 7-seater diesel PPVs, but it doesn't really make sense since you will be driving alone 80% of the time.
