It's just the Mapua part where commuting might seem a good alternative because of the traffic and hassles of parking. But, there's so many ways to get home.

A minibus direct to Philamlife Village/Fernando's/RFC Mall from Manila City Hall (MCH) would be perfect. Fat chance, though. Even long ago, I was hard pressed to see one homeward bound.

I don't recall a jeepney ever going from MCH direct to RFC Mall. In my days, it's always from MCH to Baclaran, another jeepney from Baclaran to Zapote, and then a 3rd jeepney from Zapote to Alabang. Sometimes, there's a jeepney going from Baclaran to Alabang. But, they're almost always full.

By Saulog, it's always get off at Zapote and then take a Zapote-Alabang jeepney.

Of course, a lot has changed with the Coastal Road now in use. So driving is still a good possibility. I'm still set on buying a locally-made V6 midsize because of the extra power that I'm used to.*

It's all planning right now. It may happen within the next 10 years. First thing's first, though. We need to get back to my Mom's good graces so we can have the house.

*I drove a rental 130hp Subaru Impreza (non-turbo) hatchback in Japan not too long ago. It's not even close to the throttle response of the V6 Sonata. If I ever need to overtake (or counterflow??), I want that extra power pronto.
