i own and drive a cx7 so i am biased for the cx7
but i also say go and test drive both vehicles and see which you love best driving, assuming that you will be driving the unit yourself

November 30th, 2010 10:16 PM #8CX-7 for me. The Rav4 is starting to look dated already even with the facelift. It's expensive but compared to the CX7 interior space and luggage space is big.

November 30th, 2010 10:28 PM #9Checked toyota and mazda websites and here are the interesting comparisons.
CX-7 VS RAV 4
1.495m VS 1.855m
2.5Ltr (163hp/205NM) vs 2.4Ltr (170hp /224NM)
MacPHERSON/MULTILINK VS MacPHERSON/double wishbone
5 SPEED AT VS 4SPEED AT
both have 17" rims
4 speaker audio VS 6 speaker audio

For me, its the CX7. 300k difference means more money on additional accessories/toys.
