The TS said she will loan part of the money from a bank. Personally, I prefer NOT to have any kind of load, especially not a bank loan if I can avoid it.
So if buying a cheaper vehicle, like a Corolla would mean a smaller loan or even she doesn't have to take a loan, it would be preferred from my point of view.
A bank loan is not free money. You have to pay it back with interest. That is equivalent of your future income disappearing into thin air.
