For down payment for a brand new car, you will need 20 to 30% of the car value Plus insurance, Plus Registration, Plus Chattel Mortgage.

20% of 1 M is 200K, you will need an additional 50k to 60K more.

Your 120K might not be enough as downpayment.

For your 120k right now it still not enough for down payment...konting ipon pa bro.... as mention plus insurance, chattel mortgage and registration.. i think you need a small car for the distance you travel everyday.. on my estimate its around 90kms a day travel round trip.

2nd hand? financing po kakayanin yung 96-98 civic... pero ill get the vios na lang if i were in your shoes... bago-bago pa. tipid pa sa gas

Yeh...brand new unit ka na. Anyway, the last 3 months of the year....maraming promo sa car dealership....scout around.

The Mazda3 mentioned above seems enticing enough.

Remember the additional costs in having a car.
    1. Fuel costs
    2. maintenance cost
    3. The TLC you will give it. :D

Ford and Mazda is almost the same on the flatform and possible on the engine.. ford is using mazda engine and mazda uses the ford engine vise versa... because they are sister company..also volvo and jaguar for your info..

Sir mawalang galang na po why not get a less expensive car like the mini subcompacts(i10, picanto, cherry qq etc) form your budget and you get 20k/month cleaned (thinking for car expenses only) and your daily route gen trias cavite - ortigas vice versa monthly amortization + gas baka kulangin po kayo.

If you plan to get city, wait until early next year. the new city will be release but no 1.3 engine.. only 1.5 engine.
