Older (01-03?) Mercedes Vito vs. Bnew Foton MPX?

A newer Pregio is pretty good... they have a nice ride, cold AC and are easy to drive.

If it were to be a Starex, I'd get a TCi model instead of a CRDi, not unless you know the previous owner and it's under 100k kms. Even though the Starex CRDi is relatively robust, it's still a pain in the ass replacing injectors when they eventually give out.

The best thing about the Foton MPX is it's not a View or a Blizzard... as those are two truly agricultural vehicles. The MPX is decent inside, drives okay and spacious... but it's still doesn't match the quality or refinement of even a secondhand Starex.

Mercedes-Benz Vito. Parts and maintenance may be expensive but at least you know it's reliable and you won't die because the wheels suddenly got off. :rofl:

The Foton MPX seems to be copied from the Toyota Granvia. All they did was some reskinning of the exterior and interior. And they must've failed in getting Toyota's 1KZ-TE engine and plopped in the 4JB1-T instead. And is this one truly CRDi like that of Great Wall's?

They're different. Mas classy-looking ang MPX while yung View eh more of people-hauler.

4JB1-T is Isuzu right ? Kasi baka yung target nilang market is those people who still find Isuzu engines as reliable, which is true naman talaga. Their products is still strong up to now. Mahal nga lang ....

I was also considering getting a used Vito L 2 years ago with the primary purpose of using it for out of town trips with the family and also as a weekend car. This was the only used van that I've considered since I'm a Benz fanatic, isa sa mga inayawan ko sa Vito L eh napakahina ng buga ng A/C lalo na sa likod. And since I always frequent a Mercedes specialist shop eh naririnig ko doon kung gaano kamahal ang spare parts ng Vito L compared to the more mainstream Benzes (123, 124 & etc). I ended up with a brand new gray market Grand Starex and I'm very happy with it.
