Suggest you save up to ~250K so that you can get a 10 year old car instead of a 20 year old one.

And since you're a first time car owner, it helps to know that the cash-out price of the car is probably the least of your worries.

    1. Cash out price of car
    2. Fix any immediate repair of old car
    3. Regular consumables (fuel, oil / transmission fluid changes)
    4. Not-so-regular maintenance changes (belts, brakes, suspension)

*TS tingin ko wag ka na mag-after ng looks. Hanap ka nalang ng madali at mura i-maintain.

B13 at AE92 Corolla swak sa budge mo.

at 110k, and assuming that you still have to allocate around 20k for repairs... which means, 90k na lang.

your best best (and as everybody says), the toyota corolla 89-91, or the nissan lec b13.
if you are looking for a smaller one.... pwede na din daihatsu charade.... they same the same parts as the corolla, so walang problem sa parts. tipid pa sa gas.

Since malayo yung daily commute mo and you would be traversing highways a lot, I suggest you shun the carburetors and get a 1.6EFi car. Being more powerful, they would turn out to be more fuel efficient, at least for your usage. My suggestions would be the 1.6L B13 or the 1.6L B14. Best bet would be the B14 since it is the newest you can get. Biro mo mid to late 90s versus late 80s to early 90s kung Corolla kukunin mo. As compared to the B13, the B14 is an entirely new platform altogether. Interior is very spacious when compared to the B13 or AE92. But if you are after performance, the B13 has the upper hand since it has the same engine with a much lighter body.

From the 110k, I already separated or allocate the repairs, changes, etc.. etc.. so 110k is the main budget.. if ever

Edi swak na swak na nga sa'yo yung B13 or B14 Sentra.

Nissans are great for secondhand car buyers because they have awfully low resale values, yet are good cars that are cheap to run.
