Hello guys! I would like to ask your opinion for my new ride . Actually, Im eyeing or choosing between these vans: Toyota Lite ace, Nissan Vanette, and Mitsubishi Delica. My budget is around 130k-200k What would you recommend or can you recommend another model?

And one more thing, somebody told us that we can get a Mitsubishi Delica in Subic for about 150k. Is that true?

Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Go for the LiteAce... Delica's are good kasi all around package but Subic has bad reps like the way they do cut and welds etc. Its not safe. Not unless if you are really a mechanical guy who inspects every detail.

for delica refer to this page-->http://www.delicaclubphils.proboards58.com/ mga philippine delica owners and enthusiast mga nandyan.

search here in thiskot, may thread na about sa liteace and vanette comparo. cant remember lang which forum..madami na akong nainput din dun...pero dagdagan ko nalang for you...

im a former JDM-convert 1989 delica starwagon aero-roof exceed owner, an aspiring JDM 1990 nissan largo full-time AWD LD20T with panoramic roof but i opted to choose my current JDM-convert 1991(jdm)/1997-98(phdm) toyota liteace 2c-turbo 4wd fxv...

in my JDM ownership experience i could say na kung gusto mo makatipid sa maintenance and slight sa fuel costs, but willing to sacrifice space and power, liteace ka na.. otherwise, delica ka.. what discouraged me sa JDM vanette(largo) is yung parts availability ng LD20t pati yung AWD system nya, may makita mang replacement surplus, peros costs a fortune talaga, in short, mahal at mahirap ang piyesa..thats why i opted for this model of liteace kasi may local counterpart, kinakabahan ako sa 93-98 lite/town ace. and body and interior fittings for the 1987-1991 toyota town/master ace. tsaka etong model na to, wag mo tignan sa sides, aakalain mong local....

first things first, 150Thou na delica 4x2 na most likely rundown na at kung sa bidding ka kukuha.. or 2nd,3rd or 4th filipino owner ka na.. unang papacheck mo sa converted ride is the conversion! and kung gusto mo nang delica/ any good cheap JDM-convert rides, may rerefer ako sayo sa subic, isa din siya sa mga members ng delica club phils,e...

kung galing sa auction ang sasakyan, no choice ka pre, just choose whats the lesser evil, and pakalabas mo sa lot, igarahe mo na for a month muna ang sasakyan para magawa ang lahat ng dapat gawain...

on the local side naman of the story: liteace and vanette

both can be a guzzler and common sakit->overheat, which is somewhat solved by the previous owners na...

if you want space and good highway running, but dont mind the bigger consumpsion, especially sa city, get the vanette may cooler box at cap'n seats pa..and love that pop-up glass in the tail gate...ingat lang sa pagsara, dami na ako nakitang nabasag ang glass na yon tuwing nasasara ng malakas..

otherwise, if ok priority mo ay city run, get the liteace, makitid, maiksi at di matakaw sa stop-go traffic--1.5L lang makina, tatakaw lang sa gas ang liteace kung hinahataw mo sa hway or kinakargahan mo ng puno...

    hope makatulong....

Salamat po sa information sir. So since na most likely na wala akong makukuha na delica for 150k, trim down ko na ang list ko between vanette and lite ace.

mali ka dyan pre.. stock delicas have a limit only up to below the knee line(below the door line)...kasi air intake nyan may ducting, and it leads way front from down to the level of the highest point ng tire to the filter housing(about waist height) if you want to increase the water capabilities ng delica, may aalisin ka lang along the way, lift the van 2" and put 235/75r15LT or 30x9.5r15LT tires...yan ang det-up ng dating delica ko, kaya kaya ko yup to waist line/2-tone level, maximum is above the door-trim line

tsaka mas cheaper to run ang delica kaysa sa vanette/liteace, pero you ave to accept the fact na LH-ang sliding doors, and messy ang ilalim ng dashboard..but i tellyou, matibay ang delica at mas malaki ang carrying capacity nun kaysa sa vanette/ liteace.. maraming delica na makukuha under 200thou, pero kung 200 thou lang budget mo, dont even bother to get the manual-->masmahal kasi ang manual tranny, pero masmadali yon i-maintain than the common a/t delica...at napakatipid ng m/t na delica..

Hehe nagbibiro lang naman kayo naman hehe. Syempre as a soon to be car owner di ko pababayaan ang sasakyan ko

Anyways on the serious side, magkano ba talaga ang bentahan ng Delica ngayon?
