I'd suggest against getting a Forester. While it is without a doubt a fun car to drive, fuel consumption can be a pain. Same goes for parts availability. For a gas crossover, CRV is still the best bet.
If you plan on having more kids in the foreseeable future, hiring yayas and/or will be shuttling extended family, I'd suggest a diesel 3 row vehicle. The Gen 2 Santa Fe comes to mind. 2009 to 2010 models fit your budget.
