It seems the new Bronco has proven it can go toe to toe with the Wrangler.
What in the world was Land Rover thinking? Really? low profile tires?

LR has also turned the Defender into a lifestyle SUV
They already have the Evoque for that role

IMO this review highlights the difference between real off-roader channels vs shills (like carwow). Obvious na sumunod sa review guidelines ng Land Rover.
Yung mga test ng channels like carwow specifically choose scenarios (like that slippery but otherwise smooth muddy hill) that highlight the Defender's strengths (electronically controlled off-road traction control) while hiding its weaknesses (low profile tires).
IIRC another problem with the Defender is that it's not physically possible to fit higher profile tires because the big brakes necessitate 18" wheels minimum.
The old generation Defender's wheel/tire combination is more comparable on the Bronco and Wrangler. Due to its truck platform (Body on frame design). Can be fitted with a beefier wheels and tires like the Jeep Wrangler and the Ford Bronco.
This new Defender shares much of the chassis used in the current Range Rover. Which is unitized body. It also shares the big Range Rover's brakes that's why the current Defender requires bigger wheels and lower profile tires.
