    My concerns:

Durability on suspension and other major parts
Appearance, something that wont look cheap after the brand new shine is gone. Particularly in the cabin
Cost for long term maintenance. After 10 to12 of years of ownership
    After sale support.
    Safety
Accessories (Not those Thai made chrome please.)
Resale value. (I think they will be the same though..)

If you can share your thoughts on this.

    All opinions are welcome

I cannot comment on all the points you ask but i prefer the interior the fortuner to the montero. Think cozy vs space age respectively. You also may want to experience the ride on both. The montero is better riding inmo being quite a bit more compliant than the fortuner's.

Yes, Fortuner sure looks more comfortable over all.

Ride quality though is not really a concern. I don't really mind a bumpy ride as long as its tough.
I do prefer suspension set up that has lesser moving parts.

True, Montero 3rd row seats are cramped. Reminds me of the Gen2 CRV were they force to put up a 3rd row seat just to categorize it as AUV.

Test drive should be a big help. I hope they do have test units available.
The Fortuner I have pretty much have an Idea of how the ride feels.
The Montero though which has many claims of a softer better ride, I still have to feel for myself.
Are suspension set up and chassis design of the Montero different from the previous model?

Somewhat different. Some of the mounting and geometry are carried over (from what I saw underneath the drift Monty), but there are big spec changes in terms of shock damping, suspension travel and steering.

The new Monty has the rear seats mounted further back, for more legroom. Yet despite being far behind the axle, the "bounce" back there is very controlled. Better, even, than in the Grand Santa Fe, which is also longer than the original.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Same seats as the old MS... dunno if the 2nd seat is forward adjustable.
