My previous innova was a gas mt, indeed you have to work on the gas to have decent acceleration ( peak torque is only 18.2 compared sa 20 ng fuzion ) and the stick shift has long throws. Stay below 100kph and mileage is acceptable at 10 - 12 km/L, but once you breach this your mileage will suffer significantly.Top speed is at 170kph. We travel to baguio 3-4x/yr as this is the family's fave vacation spot. Other than these, it is a very reliable car. Not once did I encounter a problem with it for 4 1/2 yrs.Traded it with d4d AT. It really acccelerate much faster than the gas as 100kph is achieved in short time.Also at this speed, the rpm is only at 2000, so noise is also minimal. No need to turn off the aircon even on steep inclines going up to baguio and pleasantly surprised that it can still accelerate kahit paakyat which you really can't do with the gas even if you floor it. Well maingay nga lang ( pag sa labas, sound is well insulated inside ), with some vibration on idle. Also the fit and finish of the current innova seemed to have taken a backseat ( the older versions are shinier, glossier).The rubber guide sa windows are oftentimes ill fitted ( have seen many already popping out even if brand new). Take note also that body panels are prone to denting even on regular opening and closing of doors seen tangentially. On fit and finish, hands down montero is the winner.
