Hello folks. It's that time in our family that we are now able to afford a 2nd car. We currently have a Ford Everest and a Honda City; we're selling the City to fund this purchase.

The wife and I are torn between the 2 models above:
    Mitsubishi
    • GT-A 2.0
    • Honda Civic Pearl White 2.0 w/ Modulo

Both cars are pretty much equal on their listed price (online, at least), and both have pretty much the same specs. We're curious what you guys would get and why. We're concerned on the FF:
    - ride comfort/NVH
    - FC
    - bang for buck (since both are pretty much evenly priced)

    Thanks in advance!

How about a Ford Focus 2.0L TDCi Powershift? At least in FC and pull (torque), it will be better than both. Not sure though how its maintenance cost would fare against the Lancer GT-A or Civic FD K20.

Ford does not anymore sell the Focus TDCI 2.0L... so if you want this, you will be buying used cars.

Damn.. Tough choices. Kung ako siguro, I'll choose the FD 2.0 IF the FD is 2008 and below. Yun complete features pa.

If you can still postpone your purchase, you might want to see the new Toyota Altis and Mazda 3 which should be out in 6 months.

But if not, maybe the Honda Civic for me as current Lancer has been around for over 5 years.

I like the Lancer but I feel it is a bit overpriced. So, I'll choose the Civic. But in the Civic line up, I still feel the limited edition 1.8 EXi (JDM) is the best variant to put your money on.

It has VSA, cruise control, hands-free bluetooth phone connectivity, back up camera and beige interior exclusive to it. Not available even in 2.0L variant.

Are we talking brand new or secondhand?

ride comfort/NVH - Honda Civic, if brand new. If FD Civic versus Lancer, FD Civic has better NVH, but Lancer has a slightly softer ride
FC - Honda Civic if brand new. If FD Civic, Lancer is better.
Bang for buck - Lancer, versus either generation. But the Civic has better interior materials and feels like a more premium car.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
