Its not a revival, we just never stopped making the 1st gen 80's L300 in the RP. It even outlived the 2nd gen L300 introduced here...
Why no facelifts? No development, Mitsubishi here is just using the same tooling as they did in the 80's and 90's... the only things they can change are stuff like fabrics, aircon, stereo, wheels etc. I don't think Mitsubishi Motors Philippines has the resources to do an RP only facelift on the obsolete 1st gen L300.

Here's something only a few know, when the L300 arrived here, it was already facelifted since it was already at the end of its model cycle. It was first released back in 1980 elsewhere making it 27 years old. Its about the same age as the box-type Lancer, this explains the similar boxy styling and interior details.
This is an early 80's L300.

Anyway, back to topic, I saw a couple of them during the last 4 weeks... I really think they should add a diesel variant for the RP(its not that popular in Taiwan) this is the main advantage of the Innova aside from its better proportions, and they should upgrade the base Fuzion with at least a driver's airbag, that would make it a better buy.
