March 7th, 2011 10:05 PM #61Compared to the gasoline version of the Adventure, Revo & Innova. The Avanza is lightweight and uses a 1.3 engine. It's one of the most frugal 7 seater MPV. The cost of using 2.0liter gasoline MPV/AUV/SUV is 50+% additional fuel cost vs the diesel AUV. While the Avanza will range from 5-10% additional fuel cost vs the diesel AUV. The diesel AUV headache is when it fails the smoke emission test. Wherein you have to get the injection pump calibrated or fixed.

March 10th, 2011 02:28 PM #63Space wise, Adventure kahit siksikan okay lang. kapag sa Avanza, kung siksikan kayo, parang lata ng sardinas sa sobrang sikip.
Try considered Suzuki APV Type II? Maluwag din ang loob non and Coil Spring ang suspension nito. (Yun Previous model including the Base model (Type 1) Leaf Spring ang gamit na suspension).

i even saw an avanza taxi in Legazpi a month ago while i was there, and instead of the common seat configuration in the rearmost part (bench-facing type), its configuration is just like a common tamaraw fx/revo/adventue/crosswind rear most seats (which is side folding rear seats). parang siksikan kung titingnan mo.

Avanza for me.. newer technology.... yung adventure kasi kasabayan pa ng tamaraw... kailangan na siguro ng gen 2 adventure.

hmmm
My Vote goes to the Adventure
Linawin lang natin sa diesel maintenance ha... maintenance ng 4d56 adventure is change oil lang 4-5 liters yata ng oil plus filter (300-500) thats it. Yung Laging sinsabing mahal na calibration is done at most is every 4 years or when its not functioning well or consumes a lot of diesel than normal. Yung smoke belching stems from the carbon filled exhaust pipe that can be remedied by a simple mod.
Coil spring vs. leaf spring : really boils down to how it was tuned by the manufacturer, hindi porke leaf spring panget na. Just look at the few generations of Chevrolet corvettes na naka rear leaf springs. Yung Isuzu altera mas plush ang ride vs. the coil sprung Fortuner.
I brought an Advie to Pagudpod, never felt uncomfortable. Plus when the weather gets rough a diesel Adventure is more capable than an avanza. Tsaka mas Gwapo in my eyes ang 2011 Advie.
