I brought a new model KIA Sorento-R from South Korea late last year, 4x 4, 7-seater, E-VGT Crdi engine, 2.2L 190 hp with leather interiors. I think this is the only diesel new Sorento model in the Phils now.

I'm driving this for almost 3 months now and I'm very happy with the handling, low interior noise, very quiet engine (as if gas engine), and runs like a car. My top speed so far is 160kph * NLEX (last Thursday).

Medyo matigas yung accelerator pedal initially, but when you step more on the pedal it zooms like a rocket.

Cons: My avg. fuel consumption now is 8km/l; sound system is not that good except for USB/Ipod/AUx/ ready; low headroom and no electric height adjustment for higher road clearance (bahain pa naman sa Manila) like in Lexus.

If you have the budget and if you can wait for the new diesel Sorento, I'm sure you'll get your money's worth (I'm not working for KIA guys, this is part of the perks of my job).

*Sir Navigator: Hehehe yep, 4D56 nga un, typo....., anyways salamat sa magandang review, pero nagoofer kasi ang kia ng 300k discount kung magpapareserve na, that makes it around 1.4m, malapit lapit na sa montero.

Pickup truck based ang components nang Montero Sport at galing syang Thailand kaya mura sya!Common na sya IMHO..

our previous 2009 Mitsu MS 2.5 GLS 4x2 has fc of 8-9.5km/l for city driving (moderate traffic). yung hiway, tanong ko kay erpats. binenta na kasi kaya di ko na macocompute.

OT: Bro crave, bakit daw binenta? pinalitan niyo ng GLS SE3.2 4x4?

magkano daw nabenta yun 4x2 niyo?

My FC mixed city/Hway normal traffic was almost same as yours.. but sometimes in between 9-9.5km/L.. if more on h-way, i get 10.8-11.4 km/L.. Kapag long stretch e mas malaki..
