Get the Strada. Higher ground clearance, more comfortable rear seats. The Navarra might have a comfortable suspension but the rear seats are not inclined as comfortably as the Strada. The Navarra may have the more powerful engine but you cannot run it at full power most of the time in Metro Manila. Besides, the Strada engine can be tweaked to achieve more power.

    Walter is correct.

In the first place, If I am 21 yrs old, I would go for a car or suv.

But given the choice between these two pickups plus your age...mas bagay sa iyo Strada.

Speed will also depend on the driving skills.

yes indeed, its not the speed, its how you handle the ride
search for the pick ups ability, on off road, even on flooded areas where some pick ups can't handle, some pick ups can't handle the high floods on the metro.( some say they are macho, but after crossing the flood the sensors of that certain truck, goes crazy and haywire that pick up is hahahaha you know who you are)
I can say the Strada is one hell of a good work horse  flood, rocky, sandy, slippery any type of condition, try searching the internet for some of the questions thats coming thru anybody's mind, in choosing a pick up.

it's everybody's right to choose the right ride thats fits them

The Navara can also be tweaked to achieve a higher ground clearance, and at roughly the same cost it'll take to make mods to the Strada engine, you could also take the Navara to a specialised auto shop and sort out the "lesser inclined" seats - which in my opinion, in its stock form isn't a problem whatsoever even whilst sitting on them for lengthy provincial drives.

As for the Navara having a more powerful engine, 100% correct ka diyan. However, it's not all about speed, it's also about Torque and since one of the main reasons you buy a pickup is to utilise its rear bed (Navara has a bigger bed space than the Strada), that's where the Navara prevails because it has more Max. Torque than the Strada (Max Torque: Navara 2.5 4x4: 403Nm vs Strada 3.2 4x4: 343Nm) - better than Strada for hauling and climbing up tough terrain.

For me, there isn't one major major advantage that one has over the other - they're pretty even. Buyers preference talaga. Some say the Navara can't handle high floods, but their basis is sometimes based on isolated cases (which happens with ALL brands of pickup) or simply clan conversations. TS, go test drive a Navara and drive it through high rough rocky flooded terrain and you'll see for yourself that it can get through them all as I've done many many many times in the province, and a handful of times in other countries.

    from davao ka sir?

better kung mag-navara ka na lang... strada club members from your area suffer from extreme headaches caused by their wives/girlfriends... masyado daw silang lapitin ng chicks... unless you want to have their predicament... hehehe, joke lang po.

seriously, navara is a great truck. just follow your heart... wag lang sanang dalawa ang puso mo

but the Navara will still be more expensive than the Strada with a tweaked engine. Then there's the issue of the black smoke emission which does not have a solution yet.
