there have been several v6 diesels before, i think. the gl320 cdi has one. now thats also a nice car, but at 7 million, pretty damn expensive.

my dad is not fond of american vehicles either. from his experience, we rented a explorer xlt in oregon in 2006, and he hated it. we have an old exped, which he refuses to drive, and wants to get rid of soon.

this is a car that my dad wants to be able to drive as well, for family trips, so it has to drive reasonbly well.
