March 6th, 2014 08:09 PM #4I'm curious how the iStop system of CX5 Pro fares in real world. But I'd choose CX5 anytime for overall value.

March 7th, 2014 12:18 PM #8Try to test drive. Kasama ung Tucson sa pinagpilian ko dati but I only considered the diesel variant.
Fuel Consumption - Tucson since diesel will always trump over gasoline, even if same km/L, mas mura ang diesel.
Handling - Tucson feels numb and not so precise. Kia Sportage is more precise. CX-5 has a lot of feedback, very responsive, very precise, very predictable. You actually feel in total control of the vehicle. In short, a lot better than Tucson.
Safety - CX-5 has a higher rating.
Design - Subjective. Exterior-wise pareho silang maganda. Interior-wise, very different. Tucson looks flashy, CX-5 looks simple and mature.
Size - CX-5 is slightly larger, especially sa trunk.
Features - CX-5 has more features even on the 2.0 FWD version like dual climate control and tire pressure monitor.
Additional things worthy of mention:
Power - Tucson since diesel.
Quality - Tucson looks good but feels cheap. A lot of hard plastic. Mazda feels premium with soft touch materials and well-assembled pieces.
Maintenance - Mazda has Yojin3 (free labor and parts maintenance for 3 years), schedule is every 10K kms. Tucson has overpriced maintenance cost (around P15K) with schedule of every 5k or 7k kms.
Seriously, Kia Sportage is a much better compact SUV than its Hyundai Tucson sibling. Consider Subaru Forester (CX-5's rival in terms of driveability) or Honda CR-V (better practicality, boring drive) to compete with CX-5 instead.

March 8th, 2014 12:45 AM #10I don't really mind the strict PMS schedule. For one, it's already free for three years. Secondly, i am strict myself with regards to PMS.
I was also in the same dilemma before. But CX-5 has better handling, great fc, looks more classy, slightly bigger than tucson while tucson is cheaper.
I chose CX-5
i think its less about the motorcycles acceleration since even 125cc bikes can accelerate faster...
