I've been driving stick ever since i knew how to drive and kelan lang ako nag shift sa a/t almost 2 yrs na.

Personally, i prefer driving stickshift pa rin and i think there's more interaction between the car and the driver sa m/t because almost all of your body parts are moving. I don't mind it at all kahit masakit buto buto ko at sore muscles kasi mas may adrenaline rush at excitement sa m/t compared to a/t. I just got more lazy nung a/t na ang tsikot ko hehe..

Sinabi mo. Not to mention mas madali sumingit if it's indeed traffic at mas madali ilusot sa long drive due to throttle responsiveness.

I've been driving a manual for 15 years now. Drove my first matic in 2000, and got so disgusted that I went back to manual afterwards.

IMHO, there's just not enough control over your speed and acceleration, and not enough torque in most low-end Japanese gasoline engines to take advantage of the AT's longer gearing.

For diesels, though, it's another story... I have no problem driving a diesel automatic. Kaya nga bibili... hehehe.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I have had the exact same sentiment -- for over a decade. I think most people na pro-AT should learn MT first and drive at least a medium-HP sedan. hehehe.

Pero tama ka din in that torquey vehicles like diesels, and great AT's like Prodrive and CVT's are a nice compromise. I'm just wondering if all sportshifts are like the prodrive na halos walang lag between stepping on the gas and moving forward?

For control though, MT pa din!
