which cars are you referring to?
2010 Lancer GLS 1.6L
or
2010 Lancer EX GLS 2.0L
i think his referring to the old body lancer. IMHO mas sulit yon kesa city.
Unless you prefer porma over value for money.
I'll go for the lancer. Wider body, good handling, good casa and good after sales service.
*ghosthunter - old body po yung tinutukoy niya since "upgraded" ang term niya.
*TS - i'd go for the Lancer GLS upgraded, this car is so called "bang for the buck" car since lahat almost ng features nandito sa sasakyan bukod sa porma, performance, wider body etc. downside, mas luma ang technology na gamit but for me, it is not really a downside.![]()
yup old body po tinutukoy ko...
thanks mga sir, kasi i know ang 1.3s a/t ng city mahihirapan sa mga mataas na road compared sa lancer gls... pero maporma siyang nahihirapan umakyat hehehe.. hay... need more inputs sir...
thanks sobra sa mga opinions mga kapatid...
more inputs please... still deciding on this.. thanks!
regarding FC, ride, performance, looks...
definitely mas matipid sa gas City 1.3 for 1 driver and 1 passenger. Pero if you re going to compute its periodic maintenance including parts replacement, mas mahal pa kaysa sa mitsu.
Pag honda magaling sa fuel efficient technology pero ang mahal naman magpa-service sa kanila. mahal p ng parts.
I'd go for the Lancer.
Pangit lang sa lancer is yung trunk niya, hirap isara and yung interior niya ... di ganun kaappealing unlike sa Honda City.
Pero overall, if you prefer performance over porma ... lancer talaga. Equipped na siya with safety features, rear disc brakes etc.
The rattling noise, IDK if it's still evident. You should ask around in the Lancer gls/glx thread.
For stuff like ride quality, performance and looks, it can be very subjective to each person's individual preferences.
It would be best to give the cars a test drive so you would have first hand experience on how these cars would rate in those categories.
But if FC is your primary concern, with your budget limits, you might opt for the Honda City 1.3S M/T ...
The Lancer doesn't have ABS and is thirstier with fuel.
But the new 'black' interior of the Lancer is very nice and the trunk is quite spacious. The engine is also easy to work on by your regular joe mechanic.
I like driving the Lancer. Haven't driven a City yet, but it's mechanical sister, the Jazz, feels good for its class.
However, I'd still opt for the bigger car. So it's Lancer for me.
Btw, the Lancer still has an engine temp gauge vs. the City which only has an idiot light to remind you of impending doom. By which time, it might already be too late to react.![]()
