GT-A: 5 more horses, 9-speaker Rockford Fosgate, longer (4570mm vs 4295mm; more trunk space), 18-inch wheels, smaller turning radius (5m vs 5.3m), Php 1,295,000

ASX 4x2 GLS CVT: 6.2-inch touchscreen LCD, higher clearance (195mm vs 150mm; better road visibility), Php 1,275,000

Choices... choices... I'd probably still go for the GT-A if it's mostly for city driving.

One thing though, would registration and insurance be the same for both?

The higher clearance is not such a deal breaker... but the added convenience of the hatchback is a plus (yeah, not that much cargo space, but the Lancer EX's trunk is pretty tiny). The one place where the Lancer has a big advantage is in porma... there currently isn't any bodykit for the ASX, and the wheels are smaller... but that's easy to remedy... secondhand GTA rims aren't expensive...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Tingin ko not much difference between the two cars aside from ride height. For me, I'd pick ASX if there are little to no plans to mod, and the EX if I plan to do lots of aftermarket stuff.
Bro you only get discounts if you pay in cash, but majority of Filipinos buy cars through financing. Also, higher discounts on new models means that that car model is not selling well.

I pick ASX... coz I'm an SUV guy. My friend will definitely pick the GTA coz he's a sedan guy.

Makakakuha ka parin naman ng kaunting price off sa Lancer EX GT-A pero di kasing laki nung sa cash discount.

Er... since this is my thread, I am going to say this. I only pay in cash. So discounts count.
