Kahit na discounted diesel sa gas you will still opt out for gas?

If your route is short & slow, the DPF on the SkyD will be another item of maintenance. Diesel is best for the wide open.

240kmh daw sabi ni Archerfish. Hari ng speeding yan from NLEX to SCTEX.

For me, yes. Nobody says no to extra HP. It’s not like the turbo gas lacks the torque against the turbo diesel. The turbo gas has a wider rpm range where peak torque is available.

If you drive short shorts, the diesel engine won't reach it's optimum operating temperature. Over time, you'll have a clogged DPF. This I believe, is a common issue in Australia or at least in some of the articles that I've read. With my regular route of 160 km one way, any city driving I do for the rest of the week will be negated on my way back home. That DPF will be your ticking time bomb if you'll be using your car primarily for city driving. I don't know how it will cost and the trouble it might cause you for any fuel savings you'll get.

In comparison to gasoline, I think made a sample computation that you can get more savings on the diesel on your tenth year of ownership.

Regarding your question about the maximum speed, don't mind it. The Jaguar XJ and Mustang left me in 5 blinks of an eye. I'd like to make an excuse, we were four inside the car and one of them weighs about 87 kg. Perhaps if I were alone, those cars might take 7 blinks of an eye.

In turbo diesel cars....the more you step on the go fast pedal, the power and torque decrease as the rpms climb to a low ceiling of about 4.5k rpm. Sounds gruff as well. This is because the torque peaks at about 2k rpm and drops sharply from that point.

In petrol turbo cars, the peak torque is relatively flat from 2k to 6k rpm. And since HP is a function of torque and rpm, the more you press the gas pedal, the more power you get all the way till the redline of 6.5k rpmmoe even higher. Sounds much nicer as well and you have a bigger powerband and sweet spot.

It’s like buying a 100k phone but without the means to buy daily data. Pasintabi na lang sa iba dyan. Hehehe

Just a matter of habit/preference I suppose. I agree that the turbo gas is more fun and desirable. But I still know a lot of people who still prefer their rides to be more fuel efficient despite their wealth.

    Who has that 100k phone?

Performance wise, turbo gas wins, no question. A lot more refined too. Personally, if I wanted to buy a no compromise, fun go fast car, it would be a turbo gas.

Malay ko dyan pero dami dyan gagastos ng malaki sa phone tapos hahanap ng free wifi kasi ayaw gumastos ng data. Wahahaha

You can buy a daily driver that is a fun go fast car. Some can even sit 5 comfortably and carry your luggage. The Mazda6 can be such a car. I test drove the turbo gas model and it was surely a class above compacts and CUVs in terms of refinement. It has decent pace but I was not able to push its limits as the test drive is just around BGC.

Now, if you have another 1M to spare, why not opt for the Stinger GT? The dimensions are about the same as the Mazda6 but it surely put a bigger smile on my face when I took it for a test drive.

No, it's not. It's a diesel, according to our last conversation.

EDIT: I didn't notice the post, he said diesel. I think we have the same color. I wish I also have the 360 camera. I know I can drive without it, it's just that I want it. Although the camera from Santa Fe is way much better, in my opinion.

Elysse got her official time as 1:13.03 and Hazel with 1:14.97 while I only made it at 1:18.69, the last time I joined Touge Battle held in Tarlac Circuit.

I thought it's machine gray, like mine. I would consider applying paint protection as soon as possible. In my case, I am already used to it seeing a lot of scratches so and so I'm no longer bothered.

Fuel consumption is just right. The most that I did was 25 km/L. I haven't break that record yet.
