You're buying the name with Toyota. Just take a look at the pricing of the RAV4. hehehehe

Well, the current Levorg is a new one. It comes with Eyesight and the more powerful 2.0L turbo engine. The previous model Levorg only came with the 1.6L turbo engine and no Eyesight technology.

Out of topic but... the 1.6M base rav4 is a pretty good deal. Other competitors with more toys have smaller engines and some have CVTs. 10 years down the line, those toys will be outdated. Tapos pag may masira na sensor etc, mahal. Won’t buy a car with eyesight.

Rav4 is a good investment if you think long term.

As mentioned, he does not need a CUV as he already has a Forester.

He needs a sedan or hatchback.

Same reasons why I suggested the Camry. By the way, those high tech sensors are very expensive to replace.

Huh? No one said anything about Ford being a good investment.

What I said was the Focus WAS a good value compared to the Civic RS which now cost around 600k more and considering that if you’re looking for a decently quick turbo car, the focus is only slightly slower, maybe 0.5 seconds slower to 0-100 compared to the Civic RS. You can do a lot with 600k: you can buy another car with that amount, pay for future repairs, use it for maintenance, etc.

Its all moot now though since the Focus has been discontinued. Maybe there’s still some old stock left with some dealers.

So, a Ford Focus was a good value because it was cheaper and you can do a lot with the savings ... and the Toyota RAV4 (that's overpriced) is also a good investment even though you're overpaying ... Go figure ...

The base Rav4 I referred to which is priced at 1.6M is overpriced??? That’s the same price as the Civic RS... I don’t see how that’s ovepriced. Besides, the CRV and Forester are already priced at 1.6M, so overpriced din pala sila?

Look, what I’m saying is that a good engine and transmission will stay more relevant and useful in the future years than gadgets and gizmos.

The RAV should regain lost ground in the segment it started. 8A/T over CVT anytime.[emoji106]

Everything is bad, very bad when not maintained well. Every car buyer should read the manual.

Yes! Golf GTS. Anyways, I've driven the Jetta and so I attest to that thrifty fuel consumption.

We have the Jetta 1.6L TDI and it is very fuel efficient. The 2.0L TDI version is better in terms of performance. On usual traffic from Parañaque via EDSA to Clark, the 1.6L TDI consumed around 10L of diesel.

CarguidePH just did a comparo between the Civic RS and Forte GT. Ulysses chose the Forte GT despite being a Civic fanboy.

Turbo GAS. Hands down. Its a driver's car. TURBO Petrol power will bring the most smiles per miles....

The diesel isnt bad but if it were my money....petrol is the clear winner.

Buy the turbo gas model and let’s ask Archerfish for a drag race against his turbo diesel. Hehehe

There's no way I can win! I can only feel fast but never fast enough. If our moderator, *jut703, will give me another lesson then I might have a chance.

With your choice if going for diesel, I would say avoid it. You will be buying a "ticking time bomb". Unless your regular route is like mine, stay with the gasoline variant.

This diesel isn't a slowpoke, and with the low end torque available most of the time, you can enjoy the speed and at the same time the low cost fuel.

Then again, the diesel is a ticking time bomb. Anyways, you can get the "virus" for the gasoline variant and push for a better useful peak power at a useful RPM.
