Since the Livina was formally launch by Nissan on June 6 '08. Let us compare which of the two will reign supreme... Kia Carens or Nissan Livina.

Livina claims it rides like a car...so what's new? Carens done that already.

In my opinion lamang ang livina sa aircon. Nissan's are known to have very efficient airconditioning on thier cars.

Carens, the name sounds feminine. Livina also sounds feminine. Any photo?

Until someone test drives it then no one can really tell... Its unfortunate that Nissan is taking a beating locally but in other countries Nissan is a top tier manufacturer easily rivaling Toyota and Honda.

    imho.

carens advantages over livina ( im comparing both high end models)
    1. diesel engine( great torque and fuel economy)
    2. space-kasya 4 medium built persons sa second row(width of carens is 1820mm vs 1690 mm)
    3. projector headlight ( pwedeng gawin HID)
    4. factory installed roof rails (pwedeng lagyan ng carrier)
    5. with back up sensor ( livina wala kahit provision lang. so kailangan mo pang butasan yung bumper)
    6. 4 disc brakes ( livina drum brake sa rear)
    7. map lamps with sunglass storage (livina wala)

    livina advantages over carens
    1. Price (968k vs. 1160K)
    2. safety features (dual airbags, abs+brake assist+ebd. carens only has driver side airbags)
    3. electric power steering
    4. parts availability ( livina is ckd while carens is cbu)
    5. ground clearance (180mm vs. 156mm)
    6. leather seats
    7. 6 speakers against 4 speakers
    8. aircon system

I agree sir! and dito nga si nissan suffers from discrimination that has been passed to us by our elderly, back then kasi when nissan was about to enter locally pinoy (especially the masses) think toyota was God.

And oh did I tell you guys that Livina is the no. 1 mpv in asia? my dad is actually planning to trade our innova w/ it.

kia carens vs nissan livina
