Update: We decided to open the 3rd member of the joylong and confirmed that the turns ratio is indeed 4.5556( 41:9). We also confirmed that the Joylong 3rd member is the same as a Toyota Hilux. We replaced the original R&P (4.5556) ratio with a lower speed gear ratio 5.29 ( 37:7) . The increase in torque is indeed noticeable. I havent tried driving it fast in NLEX or SCETEX to check what is the new top speed before it hits the redline. but the 16% torque increase at the expense of top speed will make it easier for my joylong to climb mount pulag.

please note: that professional help is needed to set the R&P gears, as backlash and torque has to be factory specs. In our case a 4x4 shop who regularly replace R&P gears did the job for us.
