I purchased 2 vehicles recently. One is a 2019 Nissan Navara AT (via bank PO) on November 2018 and a 2020 Honda BRV last October 7 (full payment). You might ask why 2019 Navara bought on 2018? Well, my OR/CR shows that it is a 2019 Navara even though I bought it at the end of 2018 for purposes of getting a higher value if I decide to sell it. The BRV of course is the new 2020 model that just came out.
My advice is to get a an offer or quotation from multiple dealers and see what is best including the freebies, don't rush into it, lest you regret the purchase. There are a lot of FB groups for those units that you are looking for and you might want to post there and ask for best offers and quotations. I actually had more than a dozen agents sending me offers and I reviewed and scrutinized who had the best one. You should demand a signed quotation to make sure that you get all the freebies and/or add-ons that they promised you.
Until I have a short list where I can base my decision on.
I've actually compared those two cars that you are considering myself. If you base it on "looks" (subjective), the mu-X wins hands down in my opinion. If you need ground clearance, the mu-X also wins in that category. But that's about it, in almost all other aspects, the Innova wins. If you need a REAL 7-seater, a more powerful engine, among other things, and if you need a family car (as well as value at the 1.3M price point) I'd say buy the Innova.![]()
