I am still choosing which to buy, base on reviews better choice innova.Talked to an isuzu salesman today lalong pinagulo ang isip ko. Maganda na daw sa hatawan ang sportivo kasi may turbo na daw ang 2007 model. But innova G d4d AT is still my number one choice as of today.AT kasi di ako masyandong marunong drive manual. Ayoko naman maging dependent lagi sa husband ko and driver kung di naman kalayuan ang lakad ko.

The Innova D-4D (2KD-FTV) is already turbo charged. It is also CRDi already in contrast to Isuzu's Direct Injection.

Just a comment! The common rail injection system is much more sensitve to diesel fuel quality than the direct injection system. Water and contaminants that often plug or corrode the pizeo injectors of a CRDI, will pass through the standard injection system used in Isuzu crosswind. Fuel filters don't always stop all water or contaminants.

The additional HP gain of a CRDI Innova is balanced by its need for quality diesel fuel. The D4D is a great diesel engine, but my crosswind commonly out performs the Innvova G Diesel around town. The reason it does this is sensitivity to diesel fuel quality. The gas powered Innovs's always outperform my crosswind. So the HP rating don't always tell the full story. CalTex, Petron and maybe Shell need to reduce the amount of water and contaminats in their underground tanks at all service stations.

Well after 32 years of driving and owning 12 different vehicles in that time frame...My crosswind is very reliable and practical. I greatly enjoy the "retro" look of my interior. My aircon will freeze you out! In fact, I looked at both the Innova and Crosswind for several months before making my choice on a Crosswind. Personally I think the old Toyota Revo was a better vehicle than the Innova being sold today. So why did Toyota do this step backward?

hehe.. this thread is old na...

for external looks only. mas gusto ko parin ang xwind. (excluding xwind's being 'bumpyness')

mas gusto ko pa revo. dapat may d4d or vvti version na revo nalang with better interiors and new look.

i beg to disagree with you sir around the town performance are comparable because around the town you may not need to accelerate more than 50km/h in this speed range innova and sportivo would be the same but in out of town trips is a different story...sportivo response very well from 0-40km/h...40-80kmh the hp gain and advancement of crdi will tell you the full story, innova will smoked sportivo easily...i experience this myself coz i used to travel from lucena to manila often times and been to baguio one time...

    innova m/t 0-100km/h=14+ seconds
    innova a/t 0-100km/h=16+seconds

    sportivo m/t 0-100km/h 21+ seconds maybe more...
    sportivo a/t 0-100km/h 30+ seconds...

A new member that hasn't read much of the threads here.

D4D prob is not diesel quality related and it was only for a particular batch made a few years back.

Innova!- maporma, very comfortable seats, cold a/c, less engine noise, less vibration, lakas hatak (m/t or a/t), and mas maraming safety features. (Innova E,G,V)

Ang Crosswind- maingay, makalampag, mahina ang hatak (a/t), matagtag, and walang safety features. May xwind XTO ako dati (company car)

BTW, may ABS & EBD na ba ang Innova [E]? aside from SRS Airbags

I've test driven both vvt-i and D4D variants and I gotta say, the vvt-i has a better ride. Even the Toyota sales agent noticed this.

I'm not also ruling out the Crosswind despite it being a far cry from any Innova variant. The time proven, ultimately reliable Isuzu diesel will stand the test of time plus it has better ride height, perfect for fording some Venice inspired streets.

Unfortunately, only the "V" has the ABS (brochure does not mention EBD).
E, G have driver's side airbags. "V" gets dual front airbag.

I also managed to drive both variants in a/t mode. The vvti seem to accelerate faster than the D-4D.
