Wala na. Dealer option nalang.

Yung 6 Speed A/T wag niyo muna pangarapin.

I would have preferred the Sonata look more. The 2.0 diesel and gas engines found in the Tucson would be nice.

Depende parin.

Yes. If you don't like the looks, then don't look at the car.

I remember there was an interview of HARI's top brass and she mentioned that Hyundai Korea would give her any car model she wants sold here. So no 2.0 gas engine or diesel variant for the Elantra?

Between the three naman... Based on their current specifications (with some models of the Cruze and Accent still not sold here), I wouldn't pick any. The Fiesta's looks doesn't appeal to me, especially the sedan version. The Cruze suffers from bad dealer network and service. And the Accent's best variant is not yet locally available. If and when the new Accent CRDi is finally released, then that would be my pick.

I didnt include the diesel Accent because im not a fan of diesel. Ive owned two and currently drive one, mahal ang maintenance ng diesel and with our dirty fuel, crdi in the Philippines is still not reliable.

Di ako nainiwala that Hyundai Korea will grant HARI any car they request... Ang lakas naman natin sobra. Eh Hyundai USA nga paminsan di pinagbibigyan ng Hyundai Korea etong HARI pa?

    Whew! :headache:

Yung maintenance cost nung 2.0 TDCi powershift palaging doble nung cost ng 2.0 Gas

Pero I'll still choose the diesel.. The power is priceless!

    Hi all,

If given the choice to buy, which one will you choose and why?

Hyundai Accent (2011) or Ford Fiesta?

    - Both 1.6 Liters,
    - Accent has 4 speed AT while Fiesta is 6 speed AT
    - Accent is 4 door sedan while Fiesta can be both a sedan and a hatch (lets compare it to a hatch)
    - Accent is P808K while Fiesta is P816K
    - Both are new to the market, although Fiesta are now off on the road, Accent will be released next month.

Looks are subjective, but both really looks good.

To make it even harder, let's also include the Chevy Cruze. Yeah, I know, the Cruze is a tad more expensive, bigger engine, bigger car, but let's include the LS AT Cruze P908,888 into the picture.

Please don't include Honda City and Toyota Vios into the picture.

    Hyundai Accent:

    Ford Fiesta Sports

    Chevy Cruze LS

The TDCi maintenance is more expensive because it still goes by the 5,000 kilometer interval... the gassers get the 10,000 kilometer interval.

But the difference in fuel economy offsets the increased maintenance cost (if driven in traffic, it's an average saving of 10-20k pesos every 10k kms) a bit... and the power is definitely lots of fun.

    CRDi is overrated.

it just so happens that i have one. i dont regret about it pero to get another CRDi in the future. no thanks. kung minsan yun pinakasimple pa ang pinakamatipid

like my Jimny now. although i'm free for PMS for 2 years. i'm thinking pag sinimulan ko na gastusan sa PMS eto, baka 1.5K lang every 6 months.

1.3liter engine -> lesser engine oil -> smaller consumption/maitenance cost - mas manuverable pa sa ever saturated traffic conditions natin.

5 years from now, yun karamihan dyan na bumili ng fancy SUVS like Montero, Fortuner, dun pa lang kayo makakahinga sa hinuhulugan nyo. na 5 years nyo din gagastusin ng mahal sa expenses

If I were to choose, I'd wait muna for a year or so to see the performance of the Accent. I don't mind if common na on the roads.

Besides there is the possibility or probability that this new Accent may become the competition of the Vios in the form of taxis, and this might affect the Accent's resale value no matter how good it is.

But if you want to buy now, I guess the Fiesta would be the better choice.
