    hi,
i always get pointed to this thread whenever I surf about cars, so i joined. i would appreciate getting inputs on what is the difference between GL and GLS model of Hyundai Tucson Gas AT. i am renewing my car plan and i have been looking at Tucson since last year when it launched.

Also, is there anyone who can share maintenance experience for the Diesel variant? I drive Malolos-Makati-Malolos, the gas prices are up so i am also looking at saving from getting diesel however i know it's costly to maintain a diesel car. I just wanted to weigh the pros and cons esp that the the Tucson R eVGT is 300K more expensive than the Theta. i think i can get expert opinion here.

    salamat.

    I prefer GLS 2WD A/T.
Ok so tapos na tayo dyan sa difference.

    Tucson Theta II:
    Pros:
    - Cheaper maintenance than R-eVGT
    - Adequate power
    - No need to cool down the turbo

    Cons:
    - Damn consumption

    Tucson R-eVGT:
    Pros:
    - God damn power! A thousand NM of torque.
    - Very fuel efficient
    - Cheap fuel (50 pesos/L for V-Power Diesel vs 58 pesos/L for XCS)
    - Easier to reach the top speed

    Cons:
    - More expensive maintenance than Theta II
    - Takaw karera

Pero it's true sir Paj. I don't like racing my Tucson pero minsan may mga taong abuso.

8 Liters of Semi Synthetic or Fully Synthetic oil.

Then cleaning of EGR every 20,000kms.

Mas mahal kesa maintenance ng petrol, pero yung torque talaga. Wala ako masasabi.

I removed sa option yung diesel because of the maintenance cost i am hearing. ang PMS ba niya every 10K km? i easily hit 10K in about 4 to 5 months kung coding lang ang palit.
