fogi ng C30 ah....i guess the days of boring old boxy Volvo are long gone...
my bad... how could i ever forget, the ever so popular contenders in this segment...
the Mini Cooper S and Volkswagen Beetle Turbo S
2007 Mini Cooper S
-Turbocharged DOHC 16valve 1.6L in-line 4
-172hp, 6speed MT
-0-60mph 6.5secs, 1/4mi 14.9secs
2007 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo S
-Turbocharged DOHC 20valve 1.8L in-line 4
-180hp, 5speed MT
-0-60mph 7.0secs (est.) 1/4mi 15.0 secs (est.)
not to split hairs, but....isn't the MCS in the subcompact segment?
i could be wrong...
It might be a mini---literally. But im sure it's fighting for the same class where the VW Bug is competing... Wherever that may be... ;)
It's small in terms of interior space, but pricewise, it competes with the top-end compacts.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Wikipedia is the devil! It's a supermini in terms of space, but in terms of pricing, it's best to compare it to cars you can get at a similar price.
Kinda pointless comparing it with the likes of the Swift or Jazz, considering it costs about twice as much here (if you're lucky) and over 2 million pesos in Cooper S form.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
much like the Supermini Suzuki Swift... size-wise, it really is small. But locally, in pricing, power, features and target market, it competes with Honda Jazz and Toyota Yaris, both subcompacts.
Of course Civic - Type R....
N/A kase!
Mas type ko itong Red though... much sporty!

Power Toys May 2007
Mazdaspeed3 GT 1st Place beating four others including the Mini Cooper S.
When I was younger, I probably would've automatically picked the AWD cars (Subie, Evo).
But, now that I'm paying for a house and will soon have another daughter.... I have to consider price tag and ease of maintenance relative to performance. That means FWD.
MazdaSpeed3 for me unless any of the other hatches have a non-turbo engine.
its the golf for me. i may be biased kse ito oto ng cousin ko sa jersey and he says that it drives like hell daw. hehehe...sunod cguro yng civic hatch.![]()
