August 25th, 2006 12:35 PM #3Medyo may problema ata yung chevy kaya binabargain nya, pero good inputs although mas bago yung chevy, mas naganda dating ng VTI.

kung gas comsumption naman problem nung optra eh baka hinde pa lang nakapag pareprogram nang ecu ung may ari kasi ganun din ung optra ko dati as in 5km/l nalang tas after nung nakapag pa reprogram nako ng ecu from chevy pasig for free ngaun umaabot nako ng mga 8-9km/l ehh!
pero for me i would still go for civic because of parts availability hinde ko kasi sure kung may mabibilang ng parts sa labas ng optra ehh unlike civic kahit sang sulok ng banawe ehh makakakuha ka ng pyesa ng civic in-case na magkaproblema ka!

One of the Optra's advantages is its added "basic" safety features that the Civic VTi lacks, like a driver's airbag, ABS, 4-wheel disc barkes, and Five 3-point seatbelts.

go for the civic. pag pre-owned cars, parts availability and ease of maintenance are main considerations.

Don't ask me... lam mo na sagot ko... hehe joke. :D
Seriously if you're for power, speed, fuel economy, and parts as mentioned by ale828, go for the civic.
Especially on this part:

dami thread ng civic at optra, in fairness naman lahat may kani-kanilang problema, interms of unit and the service dealership...

Optra. More safety features.
Then spend 30k more on an LPG kit.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
probably not... yet, siguro. too many unknowns, yet. but if the manufacturer would offer it to...
