a friend of mine from australia tested the navarra and based on his findings,it sure has a lot of torque, but yuo have to get used to shifting to get it into higher speed, as for his observation, the nissan navara is equipped with lower final drive ratio thus needing 6 spd manual trannytends to give yuo more torque as what we have done on a 2wd 2.5 fortuner with 20 inch tires, weve regeared it and tested it on a dyno ,it yields a 420nm of torque at the rear wheels, ..they even tested the navarra against the 2.5 strada sprint in a 1/4 mile, the strada beat the navarra..dont know why with all the power, finally as for the dmax.. it has the best value for yuor money as isuzu is tested on their diesel technology,it has even build engines for the gm brand diesels in the us..ranger classic boxy type european concept, quit powerful engine with low end torque ,which is great for acceleration..toyota? hope it will leave up to its name,as far as the old hilux durability,it is made in thailand, same as the other pic ups..but for all those who wants to get their pic ups customized from tuning parts to underchassis..toyota has more aftermarket products, becuase it shares almost the same as the acoma and 4 runnner underchassis and suspension..
