    Getz has more power and somewhat better economy. Vios is slightly more comfortable. Neither car drives as well as a Honda Jazz.

    Resale values of Hyundais in general is poor, but the Getz itself has decent resale in 1.1 and 1.5CRDI trim.

    how about getz riding comfort? Since it has diesel engine, matagtag ba sya just like any other diesel engine? And also the noise?

    Matatag has nothing to do with being a diesel, it has something to do with the chassis. Mostly unibody chassis have better ride comfort than body on frame chassis. The Getz being a car has a unibody chassis.

    *tidus: i think angus (I wanna eat steak now) is referring to the engine when he/she said if it's "matatag".

    Generally, Diesel engines are far more stronger than gas engines for the simple reason that Diesel is burned through compression, very high pressures require it to have a solid block.

    Well he asked about riding comfort. I, too, assumed he meant matagtag.

    The Getz rides about as well or about as badly as the Vios (depending on how you like your ride). In terms of vibration and noise from the engine, it's much greater than from a gasoline engine, but not as bad as, say, in a Jeepney or Tamaraw FX. It's not noisy, per se, but the noise of the diesel is noticeable.

    FC? Nuh-uh. In traffic, the Getz gets about 14+ km/l. The Vios 1.5 gets around 10.

    My dad inlaw has a crdi getz while my bro inlaw has a 1.5 vios a/t

    Power= getz
    Riding comfort= vios
    FC= getz hands down
    Resale value= can't say, may be the vios

    If I'm choosing either one as an only car, I'm going for the Vios. If I'm looking for a daily driver for best fuel economy, then I'll go for the Getz.

    a friend of mine has a vios 1.5 m/t, 10km/l max and 14km/l min. driving habits plays a crucial factor from 10-14 FC, easy on the accelerator and shifting neutral during long waits minimizes FC. I can't personally confirm it with the gets FC.

    If your friend gets 10-14km/l on a vios, then he will get even more on a getz crdi if he maintains that driving habit.

    Now if he drives aggressively on a getz, he still will get a better FC than the vios. With the amount of torque the getz has, you'll find yourself in higher gears in no time.

Getz 1.5crdi vs vios 1.5
