AFAIK, Japan CBU does not exempt it from poor quality or workmanship. Current RAV4 are Japan CBU and some units are problematic.

+Higher ride height which is good for casual off-roading and floods

The 2006 Rav4 reminds me too much of the previous gen RAV4, which I never liked.
