FORD FIESTA (hatch) vs HONDA JAZZ vs MAZDA 2

Can anyone help me come up with the best comparative check on these hatches?

I love the new colors of fiesta (green and orange) + Jazz' yellow
Very vibrant and fits its young and hip market.

I hope though Jazz comes out with more color choices -- maybe the red again???

1. fiesta: first choice for me since it's new, more features than the 2, power is great, handling is also great. only down side is the fc.

2. mazda 2: handles great, better than the fiesta and jazz, steering is very sharp. features, not that bad but fiesta has better features.

3. jazz: best fc against the m2 and fiesta, performance is also good but the m2 and fiesta has better performance. personally i think the jazz is out dated na plus medyo biased ako sa honda di ko kasi talaga gusto ang honda.

the only thing that interests me in the ford fiesta is the unified multifunction display which also includes bluetooth and voice capability and the supposedly start stop engine function.

but come to think of it, all my previous phones had the bluetooth and voice capability but seldom used it . and now as early as before its launch, Ford has taken back the start stop engine.

so i guess it's still the Jazz. the Jazz is a better looker than the fiesta. am not really into cars that look long.

Finally, a subcompact that can match the Honda Jazz in the power department! I doubt it'd be as fuel efficient, but I'm sure of the better performance, due to having the same power output as the Jazz AND having the 6 speed Powershift compared to the Jazz's 5 speed A/T. I was never a fan of the Mazda 2, its looks never did appeal to me, especally in sedan form, the engine gives just a paltry 103 horses compared to the others.

For me, maganda ang Fiesta at Mazda 2. kaso question mark sa akin ang maintenance cost at availability of parts.

For a safe choice, I will go with the Jazz.

Pero kung same lang ang maintenance costs, pats availability, I will got for the Fiesta first then the Mazda 2.

My bro is looking to get a new compact car in the next few months and have narrowed it down to these three choices in this order: Fiesta (great value, great reviews, and it's fresh and new), Jazz (reliability, space and FC), Mazda 2 (fun, handling, fun). It'll boil down to what happens at the Fiesta launch, when we get to see and test the car in person.

For a first time buyer... I would not even consider the Honda Jazz, why? Too old and outdated.

My choices... Ford Fiesta 1st before the Mazda 2. I heard Mazda 2 has a crappy suspension.

Too bad that the Ford Fiesta 1.6 has no Manual Tranny.

I am going to the Motor Show today simply to check out the Ford Fiesta.

Why compare the handling of the Fiesta with the Mazda 2? I doubt anyone in the country except a handful has actually had a test drive of the unit. Also, different models have different electronics that may affect handling. For example, only the Sport model has ESP and TCS, and may handle differently from the lower models.

Better FC than the Fit (Jazz) and Yaris. Though the US/Euro version is different, we get the same engine and same aerodynamics, so it should be roughly the same.

Ford Philippines has posted a comparison that states it has best in class cost of ownership. Along with the 24 hour guarantee on a lot of parts, the company is really fighting to shake off negative stigma promoted by die-hard Japan car fanboys.

I have no sense of brand loyalty. All our past 4 cars have been different brands. Cars are a big investment and you should do clear research on which will get you best value for money. Wag kang mahulog sa fanboyism.

All in all, if it's going to be your only car, and you have a family, it might be better for you to get the Jazz for the space.

If you just need this for a second car, or if you don't have a family, you'll be happy with the Fiesta as your little toy ;)

what made fiesta a major turned off for me is the delayed shutting off of headlights... and the adjustment of the backrest of the driver seat is not user friendly.... my God u have to rotate it... its an hassle, coz when i drive i always adjust the backrest of my seat especially during traffic... im a small sized filipino i need a user friendly seat that i could adjust instantaneously... i go for jazz ..coz for that negative inconvenience that fiesta could hinder my driving... sayang ganda pa naman ng fiesta... i go for my driving pleasure n safety... honda jazz is my car...

I don't understand what people are complaining about the circular knob? I tested it myself and I find it ok... You turn the knob clockwise and the seat reclines up and you turn it counter-clockwise and the seat reclines down... Its not something you adjust frequently assuming you are the only one who frequently drives the car... And its not that hard...
