Navara na. Sobrang luma na niyang D-Max. Pa-boondock boondock pang nalalaman. :hysterical:
It can still to the job without the need for the highest Hp or Nm rating so okay pa din yan kahit luma na.
*TS: I am mainly based sa province kaya yan nakikita ko. If you're in the metro and hindi pang-business use yung pick-up, there are other alternatives.

For hauling purposes, Navara pa rin.
Nissan Navara 4X4 LE (M/T or A/T) for me. 174 horses, 403NM Torque. Mas maganda engine ng Navara (YD25DDTi). Smaller displacement than D-Max so may chance na mas matipid sa D-Max. Yung M/T 6-speed pa :clap:
If you're gonna go hauling some heavy stuff across mountains and well, rough terrain better go with the D-max. Even though it does seem weak on paper, it's got good low-end torque and is maintained throughout the rev range. The 3.0 engine may have a larger displacement but it's tuned for economy. The Navara is nice and all but is too wide and too low for my taste.
* charriane, for what purpose mo ba gagamitin yung pick-up? Based kasi dyan magiging best fit na pick-up eh.
Based on the thread of Navara and Dmax kasi, lamang talaga sa FC ang Dmax. Mas matulin nga lang Navarra. It has the largest bed but not by much vs the Ranger and Hilux. Laki din bed noon eh. Kung by volume nga, lamang Ranger kasi mataas sidewall but because we know that lumalampas naman nilalagay dun kaya not much difference in real life yan. But the VGT of Ford & Toyota are the best since talagang yung peak torque nakukuha sa low rpm pa lang unlike what hndmaxiado likes to point out always, Navarra and the Strada have gradual peaking of torque. So for hauling and heavy duty jobs, much better yung widespread yung power sa and low to mid rev range as noobskie mentioned.
Mas ok performance based on what I experience here esp. dun sa talagang nag-o-offroad at business hauling. Dun sa minor offroad lang naman if ever, they can obviously add the nav in the list. Now for me na minor offroading lang din at hindi naman masyado hauling, Strada naman gusto ko and close second ang Hilux. Nalalakihan lang me.

Charianne, just test drive any of them sa mga dealer centres (puede naman).
Visit Isuzu, Nissan, include also, Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Ford/Mazda. Except for the Isuzu DMax, all the others pickups from the other manufacturers are equipped with variable-geometry turbocharger (VGT) that further enhances power output....
....As you know, we can only do so much giving you advice here, but in the end you have to do it by yourself (for feelers, if i may describe, test drive all of them).
While you're at the steering, pay close attention to:
1. Your driving comfort (above all else);
2. Coverage/ scope of your frontal and peripheral outside visibility from the driver's cockpit (i like the Toyota Hilux and the Isuzu DMax for this matter);
3. Handling manners of the pickup; and
4. How the power is delivered.
Next thing you do (if you're still willing to take it just a bit more), you ask the dealer for:
1. Technical details like the engine characteristic say power and torque and how both are being delivered across the powerband or rpm.
....Amongst the two you're asking, the Navara makes more peak horsepower and torque than the DMax, yet you have to find out for yourself how each pickup delivers it across the powerband. It is only through a test drive that you'd know this, where one is "peaky" and "spastic", while the other is "very broad and smooth";
2. Also ask if the engine is "timing gear and chain" driven, or "timing belt", where the latter requires replacement every 100,000 km;
3. Ask the dealer for spec sheet and pay attention to the dimension of the vehicle (interior and cargo spaces etc) and weight of the vehicle among all others, etc etc;
4. Also, since probably you'll be utilising it as a workhorse/ hauler at the same time, ask how many cross-members there are at the chassis of the pickups. All i know is that the Navara has 6 cross-membranes while the DMax has 8. But you may verify this with them, however.
5. As far as fuel efficiency is concerned, the DMax is the most frugal-sipping pickup in the market today.
Don't forget to check out Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux and Mitsu Strada and do the same thing!
....AND most importantly, haggle down the price from your dealer as much as you can haha!
Goodluck!
^ +1 on hindmaxsiado...
you may also add passenger comfort to the mix if in case you use your truck as a family vehicle or you are not alone most of the time...
New Ranger looks tasty, problem is it's rumoured to hit our shores next year pa...

In terms of FC, reliability, features and value for money - Dmax Boondock!
So much more if its the 2011 model. Navi ready with back-up camera already..
Kaya lang the 2011 Boondock is still not out in the market to date..![]()
