"YARI KA SA YARIS!"![]()
I've seen some Yaris in the US a few months ago, and I should admit that they do not excite me....
Opppssss, the ones there are sedans not hatchbacks....

yes. thats the us version. toyota said that they will be releasing soon the hatch 4 door version there's also a two door version but i don't have any idea if it will be also avail.
Well the Jazz/Fit has 109hp and 105 lb-ft , 5 speed manual and 5 speed auto w/ paddle shifters. MacPherson struts up front and torsion beam suspension in the rear also.
FYI most cars have MacPherson struts suspension for the front so that's nothing special. As a matter of fact my 1998 Lancer uses it and so did my 1988 BMW. Now if you had said it had double wishbone then it would be different from anything in it's market.
One thing I really hate about Toyotas is their accelerator pedal size and location. Baon na baon to the right side ng driver footwell. Considering it has a central instrument cluster, I'd stay away from that. That goes to show that the car wasn't designed with safety in mind, but more so for cheap replacement parts/marketing in other countries.

In Car and Driver's May '06, the publication conducted a compact comparison test and the Jazz came in 1st place while the Yaris Sedan came in 4th. Even the Kia Rio and Nissan Versa beats the Yaris, by coming in 3rd and 2nd respectively.
bro, what we're talking about here is the 2007 yaris hatch.. that 2006 sedan which i think is more different from the hatch..![]()
see first the topic of the thread and yung kung anu na pinag uusapan hindi yung basta basta ka nlng nag bubutt-in ng mga opinion mo..![]()
*3sgTe: Other than having a hatch on one and a trunk on on the other there is no real mechanical difference between the two models, so the driving feel would still be the same. The Jazz/Fit is still a much better vehicle compared to the Yaris regardless of what year the Yaris was made. BTW your title asked which one is better so Number001 just answered your question with his opinion along with a comparison of the two cars made by a magazine, you didn't specify Yaris hatch in your title. Next time if you just want to hear praise about the Yaris you shouldn't ask which one is better in your title since that would require people to give their opinion which is what Number001 gave you.

yah ryt.. he's talkin about the 2006 sedan yaris.. what i have here is the 2007 hatch yaris.. there's a difference with that .. there's no car manufacturer who would release a 2006 model in this years march 2007 and at the same time with the same specs, they release new models to differentiate old ones with rather new and compromising specs and performance.... better have toyota here.. sorry that im not one the toyota team to explain further details..
You honestly think Toyota will do a complete redesign of a car that just came out in 2006? There may be some cosmetic changes but mechanically there would be no reason to change the car since the first model year was 2006 it would be too costly. The specs you quoted on your earlier post is the exact same specs as the 2006 model so where is the difference that you claim for 2007? But hey you believe what you want if it makes you happy.After all you thought having MacPherson struts was something special to tha Yaris.
BTW that engine on the Yaris is the same one used on the Scion Xb and Xa and it was anemic on those cars like it is on the Yaris.
I'll get one of those Yaris when it finally hit the market this March...(For my Daughter - BTW, di niya alam na ibibili ko siya!)
I have already inquired and I was given this Quotation:
Toyota Yaris P748,000 (A/T)
50% Down = P374K
Insurance = P28K
Registration = P6,500
Chattel = P15K
Total DP = P424K
12 Mos. = 34,253
Mura 'No?!My only problem now is the Body Color
...ang favorite color kasi ng Unica Hija ko is Violet kaso Red ang kulay na pang Girl. Pag Black kasi baka yung Kuya niya lang ang gumamit
